Canterbury’s resilience is resurfacing today with news that some events of Feast of Canterbury are back on.
“We are going ahead with some aspects of Feast of Canterbury – the Dine series and the Events are still running and we have updated any cancellations on our website,” says Holly Andrews of Feast of Canterbury.
Yesterday organisers of Feast of Canterbury were phoning ticket holders to cancel events but it appears desire to see this inaugural Feast succeed has seen an overnight turnaround.
Events still on include Dine - Passport to Dine supported by restaurants and cafes across the region, (Dine gives you the chance to get your Dine Passport stamped for entry to win a luxury weekend away at Cardrona Valley); Just Desserts - Gluten Free Wednesday at 33 Wordsworth St, Sydenham; Pop up Dinners at Riccarton House; Christchurch Farmers' Market, Riccarton House, Kahu Rd, Christchurch on September 11 and 18; Summer Love 2010 - Launch Party, Melton Estate Winery, Weedons Ross Road, West Melton; and many more events so check out the website www.feastofcanterbury.co.nz.
While on the website, why not take the opportunity to book for the Feast of Canterbury Finale which will include Beertopia, DeCant, the Twilight Market, Dine by Design and the Gala Dinner. The Finale has been postponed until December 15 and extended until December 19, 2010.
